60 days to become a game developer. Day 2

Day 2 and I feel like I was ready to go. Boy was I wrong. To fully understand this industry and learning how to write code and develop the software for the game that I am currently working on you need to understand the language. This is by far the hardest thing to do for me. It is a whole new language.

I also realised I have another challenge that I did not expect. Having my 4 and 7 year old at home due to the stay at home order is even harder. This type of work is extremely important to be fully submerged and not being pre occupied with other tasks as a parent. So I am having to figure out a schedule to be able to be fully free of any outside distractions. This is all about being in school again.

But the reality is that I truly enjoy this and I like creating environments! I am still having issues and trying to understand things on the code is still very tricky for me. But I am lucky to have the opportunity with Aloha Connections and GameDevHQ to be working again in a direction that I can feel involved to solve problems.

I have to thank the team at GameDevHQ for all my questions and concerns about writing code and learning. Everyone is so helpful and I can't thank them enough in these past few days. Looking forward to my growth.
